OUTER LIP SAGGING AND WRINKLES

Sagging and wrinkling of the outer vaginal lips is a problem that women may encounter. Factors such as aging, hormonal changes, childbirth, weight fluctuations, and excessive exercise can contribute to the sagging and wrinkling of the vaginal lips.

This condition can be aesthetically bothersome and may affect the self-confidence of some women. Various methods can be used as treatments for sagging and wrinkling of the outer vaginal lips.

Surgical procedures called labiaplasty or vulvoplasty can be performed as treatments for vaginal lip sagging. These procedures involve removing excess skin and fat tissue to achieve a smoother appearance of the vaginal lips.

Alternatively, non-surgical treatments are also available for vaginal lip sagging and wrinkling. For example, skin rejuvenation procedures that utilize technologies like radiofrequency, laser, or ultrasound can help reduce vaginal lip sagging and improve wrinkles.

The aim of these treatments is to achieve a brighter, fuller, and more youthful appearance of the external genital area. There are two materials used in the augmentation of the labia majora:

1. Hyaluronic acid: Hyaluronic acid, commonly used in cosmetics, is injected into the labia majora in a clinic setting under local or sedation anesthesia. The amount used varies from person to person. The duration of hyaluronic acid typically lasts around 6-8 months, and there are no restrictions on repeating the procedure as desired.

2. Fat injections: This method relies on injecting fat tissue taken from the individual (from the abdomen, inner thighs, buttocks) into both labia majora. Fat injections are more durable and have a longer-lasting effect compared to hyaluronic acid.
